Ingenuity 2020: Putting people at the forefront of manufacturing
- No Comments
The Ingenuity 2020 conference will look at the importance of people in our region’s manufacturing businesses.
The conference takes place at the new Energy Skills Centre, part of East Coast College on the Lowestoft Campus, on 19 February.
The East of England’s only manufacturing and engineering conference, Ingenuity, hopes to spark conversations about the problems faced by the industry both nationally and locally. With the UK requiring a staggering 1.6 million engineers and technicians by 2025, and the East of England falling behind on recruiting skilled professionals to the region, discussions on these topics have never been more critical.
The Ingenuity Conference is organised and facilitated by the New Anglia Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (NAAME) network, a leading voice in the region’s manufacturing and engineering industry, in partnership with East Coast College. The event will focus on the importance of putting people at the forefront of manufacturing and how addressing such issues can unlock productivity, creativity, and innovation.
In addition, topics such as attracting talent, creating a culture of diversity, identifying and nurturing talent and encouraging employee voice, will also be covered at the event. Speakers, panellists and workshop providers include MakeUK, M&H plastics, Turning Factor, Birketts, Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor, the University of East Anglia and many more.
