In the ten-year period from 2012 to 2022*, the main presenting symptoms of retinoblastoma were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A white glow in the eye (observed in the eye or in a photo) \u2013 77%<\/li>\n<li>A new squint \u2013 33%<\/li>\n<li>Change in colour of iris \u2013 9%<\/li>\n<li>Loss of vision \u2013 8%<\/li>\n<li>Redness or swelling without infection \u2013 7%<\/li>\n<li>Roaming eyes \/ child not focusing \u2013 8%<\/li>\n<li>Absence of red eye \u2013 1%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Richard Ashton, Chief Executive of the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust,<\/strong> said: \u201cWe are delighted to see the BBC raising awareness of retinoblastoma on <em>Call the Midwife<\/em>.
